camps. national day.

for five days last week, those involved in all school camps probably didn't get any proper sleep. mostly i remember finally getting to lie down at 4, 5 am. i was never able to drag myself out of bed in time when the morning comes. so the seniors (esp. the guys) were disappointed with the turn-out of this year's freshies. go figure. let's just say it's very very tough work for the dinner and dance committee (the need of pageant-hopefuls). basically my job was to tell the newbies how to play a particular game and help out. but because the games were mainly rotating among the groups, we sure spent alot of time waiting for them to get their butts here. thanks to the funny people we have at least the camp wasn't too boring, especially for our line of job, behind-the-scenes preparations and clean-up. there was only one game that almost took my arms away---breaking the junior guys up in senior vs junior games. it was a nasty affair. scratching, finger, arms, legs pulling, tickling, screaming, cheering, quite gross. after it all, i don't feel my arms anymore. haha.
everything drew to a close on friday night. then it's back to school.

Happy National Day!

perfect to have a holiday in the midst of the first week, and right in the middle! it's like lectures, lectures, breathe, then back to lectures again. was quite keen to make it a mambo national day, but the lack of company just leaves me bored to go. now i'm passing part of this day by writing this blog. plus the fact that i'm broke again just doesn't give me any options to enjoy this day. also i'm down with sore throat (hey, hawthorns do help!). blah! let's just see how it goes.

i better go have lunch now before it turns into dinner. heh! until next time...
